LEGO® WEDO 2.0 JUNIOR ROBOTICS

AGE 5-8 GRADE LEVEL – PRE-K TO 3rd

1. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students will be exploring Lego Education curriculum recommended projects and challenges. These challenges are designed to introduce concepts related to Nature, Machines, Plants and Animals, Space,etc., Students learn to use a LabVIEW visual programming language WeDo to control LEGO WeDo.

2. In addition, Using custom designed Fun Lego Projects, Students will be working on many Science, Math related problems which will introduce them to their grade level Mathematical Concepts.
3. Design your Robot : Students will be introduced to the various Robot building techniques using the Industry standard – Lego Bricks and the 100s of different supporting accessories- Plates, axles, beams, gears, etc,

LEGO® MINDSTROMS EV3 – ROBOT CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAMMING USING LABVIEW SOFTWARE

AGE 9-11 GRADE LEVEL – 4TH & ABOVE


1. Students are introduced to the different components of Lego Mindstorms EV3 Robotics System namely Motors, Sensors. Students are taught on how these different components function behind the scenes.
2. Students use the Lego Mindstorms Labview Programming interface to control the functioning of robots. Using the structured Projects and mini challenges, students are introduced to different Programming constructs and learn to control the Robot Parts to accomplish a given task.
3. As part of individual challenges and team based projects, students participate in the design discussions, presentations, critical thinking and project planning.
4. Students build more than 5 different autonomous robots during the duration of diferent levels of course and complete individual challenges and team based projects.
5. First Lego League – Students will be introduced to the FLL (First Lego League) challenges and various techniques and strategies involved in the Robot design and as well the Programming constructs.

VEX IQ ROBOTICS – ROBOT CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAMMING USING ROBOTIC GRAPHICAL SOFTWARE

AGE – 11+ GRADE LEVEL – 5TH & ABOVE

1. Students are taught how to write programs in RobotC-Graphical, a dialect of the industry standard C-programming language, to control LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robots.
2. They are introduced to software programming concepts – control loops, conditional statements etc,

VEX IQ ROBOTICS – ROBOT CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAMMING USING ROBOTIC NATURAL LANGUAGE SOFTWARE

AGE – 11+ GRADE LEVEL – 6TH & ABOVE

1. Students are taught how to write programs in RobotC-text based, a dialect of the industry standard C-programming language, to control LEGO Mindstroms EV3 Robots.
2. RobotC language, is developed by Carnegie Mellon Robotics institute.

VEX IQ ROBOTICS – ROBOT CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAMMING USING ROBOTIC GRAPHICAL SOFTWARE

AGE – 11+ GRADE LEVEL – 6TH & ABOVE

1. Students learn to use RobotC programming language to control VEX IQ Robot system.
2. They will build and program their models with their partner while exploring a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities to develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as language, literacy, and social studies.

VEX IQ ROBOTICS – ROBOT CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAMMING USING ROBOTIC NATURAL LANGUAGE SOFTWARE

AGE – 11+ GRADE LEVEL – 6TH & ABOVE

1. Students learn to use RobotC Text Based programming language to control VEX IQ Robot System .
2. They will be exposed to programming fundamentals: proper code design: whtespace, comments, and naming;
• top-down design: efficient coding practices and decomposition; assignment operators and comparison operators; control structures: while loops, if else statements, switch cases, and for loops ; variable declaration, assignments, and usage; function return values

ROBOTICS COMPETITION WORK-SHOPS & CAMPS

JUNIOR FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLLJR.)-ROBOT DESIGN & PROGRAMMING WORKSHOPS

Junior FLL (Junior First Lego League)- Kids will be introduced to the different challenges conducted as part of the Junior FLL competition and as a team they will put together a solution for these FLL challenges.

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FILL) ROBOT DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING WORKSHOPS

Students will be introduced to the FLL (First Lego League) challenges and various techniques and strategies involved in the Robot design and as well as the programming constructs.

VEX IQ CHALLENGE – ROBOT DESIGN & PROGRAMMING WORKSHOPS
